Eating out doesn't have to be a hassle when you are vegetarian or vegan. There are some places around the city of Atlanta that cater to the V-squad too. Here are a few places that I really enjoyed.
The Atlantic Grill Atlantic Station Veggie Burger $8.95 Mashed Potatoes $3.95
My sister and I were hanging out and decided to go to Atlantic Station for some food, shopping, and to see Bad Moms (which was crazy funny by the way!). We stopped at this little restaurant/bar and were happy to find that they had a veggie burger on the menu. I ordered mashed potatoes on the side to complete the meal. What saved the burger was the sriracha sauce other than that this meal was pretty basic. They also have an outdoor eating area and live music so that makes it stand out a little bit more. 7/10 http://atlanticstation.com/business/atlanticgrill/
Ted's Most Best Athens, GA Veggie Panini $7.50 Spinach & Beet Salad $4.00 (half)
I really enjoyed my meal at this place. The panini was hot and the roasted eggplant, zucchini, and peppers had a great artichoke pesto sauce on top that I couldn't get enough of. The spinach salad was very fresh and the cooked the beets so well I almost asked the cook how they did it! I also thought it was a nice touch to do purple and yellow beets :) The only draw back was that the bread wasn't whole wheat. Other than that, an excellent meal! 10/10 http://www.tedsmostbest.com/menu.html
WEST EGG CAFE Atlanta, GA Tofu Scramble- $9.00 Biscuit- $1.50
This place was such a pleasant surprise because of their awesome vegetarian-friendly menu! I went here for breakfast with my friend Nikita and I left so satisfied. On the plate are some roasted potatoes, tofu, spinach, veggie sausage, and pepper melody, with a buttermilk biscuit. Everything was seasoned well and hot when it arrived to the table. I also had a cup of coffee (b/c free refills!!). 10/10

CAFE SUNFLOWER Buckhead, GA Baked Stuffed Acorn Squash- $19.00
This place is a stable in the vegetarian/vegan community and my sister's favorite restaurant. Cafe Sunflower serves Sunday brunch (Buckhead location only), lunch, and dinner plus they have a wide array of vegan cake slices offered for dessert! This meal was amazing and completely vegan. The squash was well prepared and soft to the point that I could eat the outside skin (which has a ton of nutrients). I liked the fact that they included walnuts and cranberries inside as well. It gave the food a nice crunch and sweetness. The mung bean sprouts and kale sides were savory and delicious. Cafe Sunflower can be on the pricey side but it's definitely worth the money. 10/10 http://www.cafesunflower.com/menus.shtml
RIBALTA Atlanta, GA Mediterranean Salad- $9.50
I went to this restaurant for my cousin Mandy's birthday and had a little bit of trouble finding healthy vegetarian friendly dishes. They had different pizza's but I wanted to eat something without all the bread and cheese because it was late. I settled on this simple salad. The dressing was very tasty and I thought the plating technique was a nice touch. The cool vibe and dimmed lighting in the place makes for a great date night so check it out when you can. 8/10
